Looking for the Chair Style and age in Gibsons, British Columbia

Does anyone know what type of chair this is or how old it may be?
I was thinking of repairing and refinishing this chair but would like to know if its worth the time
The seat has come apart and I was just going to reinforce with a few bridge plates at the bottom and use carpenters glue in the seam
One of the dowels is missing at the bottom too
